Tom Tivenan
VP of Manufacturing


With over thirty years in the aerospace machined parts industry, Thomas Tivenan began his career at Alken Industries as it's Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Department Manager.

Mr. Tivenan’s machining experience started with a three-year apprenticeship under master craftsmen learning basic machining, blueprint reading, setup, and inspection. He completed his training in 1981 and went on to develop and operate Alken’s first CNC department. Since that time, Mr. Tivenan has been instrumental in developing Alken’s CNC department’s systems and procedures.

Mr. Tivenan has continued his training over the years, with CNC and programming at SUNY Farmingdale, further studies at the Unigraphics Cad/Cam Training Center in St. Louis and Total Quality Management at BOCES Technical Center. In addition, he is a graduate of Dale Carnegie’s Effective Communications and Human Relations course.

Currently, Mr. Tivenan oversees Engineering, Manufacturing and Building Infra-structure and Development for Alken Industries, Inc.
