 About KSASF Scholarship

The Kenneth E. Senior Aerospace Scholarship Foundation (KSASF) was created in January of 2008 in loving memory of Kenneth E. Senior, founder of Alken Industries, Inc. of Ronkonkoma, New York. As an entrepreneur in the aerospace manufacturing industry Kenneth Senior created Alken Industries, a World Class Aerospace Manufacturing Facility. At the age of 25 he had the methods, vision and passion that led him to start his own Aerospace Manufacturing Company, Alken Industries, in 1967.
Kenneth E. Senior has left an indelible mark on the Aerospace Industry of Long Island. As an employer, Ken  provided opportunities and education which inspired people to exceed their personal expectations and realize their full potential.
Kenneth Senior had a strong belief in the future of the Aerospace Industry thriving on Long Island where it has been historically prevalent.  Ken’s own determination and drive made his a “dream come true”. In his honor this foundation was created to further Aerospace Technology Education on Long Island and give local, determined students the same opportunity to soar….
Honoring Ken Senior, we would never in our wildest dreams have imagined that Kenneth Senior Aerospace Scholarship Foundation would have the impact it has had on our community. – Foundation Representatives
